Yi is a multidisciplinary artist and tattooer currently based in Tkaronto/Toronto, b. Hangzhou, China. 

They trained in blackwork in the mid-2010s, but are now gravitating towards delicate brushstrokes and fluid sketch textures. 

Emails remain Yi’s greatest challenge. When procrastinating on admin work, they distract themself by photographing at events, working on film sets, nerding out about trees and teas, or “maybe I will go back to school again”.
